GO TO MARKET PLAN
Third Skin came to us as a well-funded startup with real experience and knowledge behind them. They have so many ideas for the future, but right now they are focusing on hearable tech and have designed and tested a revolutionary product which they are ready to take to market.
When we met Simon and Pete, the creative duo from their board of directors, we knew they were exactly the kind of guys we wanted to work with. They are sharp-minded and fizzing with ideas grounded in technical expertise, plus they have a great sense of humour. We understood exactly where they were coming from – and to our delight they ‘got’ us too.
They asked us to put together a Go To Market plan for this project. This would involve four stages: a discovery session, during which we would look at the current state of the project and decisions made so far. We would then research, correlate and produce the GTM strategy. Further components would involve reviews of key stages and engagement with their potential supplier base.
As a first stage we have worked out a directional map and timeline. This includes a detailed ‘mind map’ covering every aspect of the project that needs to be considered: the B2B and B2C target markets with buyer profiles, situational analysis, market segmentation, projections. There is also a complete overview of the marketing plan looking at products, pricing, sales channels and marketing channels.
We presented the timeline in both a ‘big picture’ business overview of the three-year plan, plus a more detailed view of launch plan, covering the first four quarters. In this, we have planned in things like customer research, the contacting of affiliates and the actual implementation of the marketing plan.
